Thanks to the ongoing civil unrest, a large number of highly skilled individuals are fleeing the Rainbow Nation at a rapid pace. This is according to Robbie Ragless, Director of New World Immigration, who also stated that at the current rate of inquiries, immigration has never been a more serious consideration for skilled professionals.
The violent protests have harmed South Africa's efforts to rebuild its economy in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, an increasing number of skilled individuals and families are setting their sights on greener pastures abroad.
With harmed business confidence, disrupted key trade routes, and the closure of businesses ranging from banks and supermarkets to small-time traders, we may have seen the final nail in the coffin for many of South Africa's brightest, who have decided to pack their bags and seek a safer future abroad.
Inquiries have been pouring in left, right, and centre at New World Immigration, leaving Robbie in a position to expand his consultancy division to meet the ongoing influx of highly qualified and ambitious individuals.
“Demand has never been greater. Even before the protests began, our consultancy floor was buzzing with activity. Our phones have not stopped ringing for a single second in the last 24 hours” said Robbie.
“In the last week, we have had to train and integrate new immigration consultants into our NWI family in order to handle the high volume of inquiries and interest directed at our organisation.”
“It is not always easy seeing and hearing all of the negative reasons that our prospective clients give for leaving South Africa, but when you put yourself in their shoes, you can completely understand why they are making these decisions.”
