The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has started 2023 off on a positive note. On the 11th of January, the IRCC held an express entry draw with a whopping 507-point minimum score. A week later the IRCC drop 17 points to a draw of 490. What does this mean for South Africans?
Canada has an incredibly high requirement of people for their labour shortage needs. Every draw Canada invited between 3000-5000 invitations to apply for permanent residency. To meet the IRCC target Canada will need to be inviting more and more applicants which means they will need to bring the CRS to score lower and lower.
Many South Africans are waiting in anticipation for their turn after a long period of inflated scores. Every time the score comes down, more applicants apply as more invitations are being awarded. As South Africa struggles with social and political issues, more people tend to flood the Express Entry system of Canada for a better life.
New World Immigration assists applicants on this journey. Going for the Express Entry draw is just one pathway, there are also employment routes, student routes and provincial nomination routes that can boost your score and get you to a better life in quicker times. Canada is being pressured by the low birth rates and high labour shortages to speed up their process and bring in more foreigners.
The pressure is on and 2023 is looking to be a fruitful year ahead. Have you enquired about a free assessment? Do you know if you qualify and what pathway? Click for a free assessment and allow us to guide you out of the darkness and into a more prosperous future.
