The Medium and Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) is an occupational demand list that is in high demand throughout Australia's states and territories. Your occupation must be on this list in order to apply for an Australian Independent visa (subclass 189) or an Australian Regional Provisional visa (subclass 489).

The list is provisional, and priority occupations may shift as Australia recovers from the pandemic. The Government and the National Skills Commission will continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on the Australian labour market and assess Australia's skills needs as they evolve, and new data sources become available.
